I absolutely love how Janet Jackson is Photographed on the cover of Harper's Bazzar October issue. This photograph is timeless! The stylist was right on target in terms of portraying Ms. Jackson as a classic and timeless icon! I love the black lace sheath dress with the black leather gloves and hat!! I just received my copy so I haven't read the interview yet but I recommend that you grab a copy!

It's that time of the year where you can begin to put away all those wonderful carefree summer clothes you've acquired over the last 4 months and begin to embrace the cool and breezy autumn months that seem to be right around the corner. One of my favorite trends this season and every season are fun, colorful and patterned tights. I think this particular accessory adds character to any drab wardrobe. Colorful tights make me happy! So, indulge this season, if you are not used to wearing such bold colors or patterns, take a chance and step out of your box. I guarantee that you will fill good everytime you look down at your legs! Please click on the image to see where to purchase your favorite tights!
I came across this magazine while checking out Kanye West Blog. So, I can't take all the credit for this particular post. Any way, I-D Magazine is a London based magazine that features fashion, music, art and youth culture. What caught my eye about this particular issue is that they are featuring 4 young, up and coming African American models: Chanel Iman, Jourdan Dunn, Arlenis Sosa and Sessilee Lopez . Check out the cool video that I found documenting behind the scenes of the I-D September issue. If you are wondering why the young ladies are winking in certain scenes, apparently this is the magazines signature logo. Most issues feature a winking cover model. If you tip the logo sideways you will notice that it is a "winking smile". Anyway, if you are not familar with this magazine go grab a copy and tell me what you think!
Talk about reinventing your look...Solange Knowles did an extreme makeover. I think this was a very bold and daring stance for her especially for someone who is related to an iconic diva such as Beyonce. Apparently, Solange has recieved a lot of backlash for her new look. I think it is healthy to challenge the mainstream standards of beauty. Beauty and style comes in all shapes, sizes and colors. So, I support our fellow sista for taking a bald stand!
